If you reside in the areas of Swan Hills, Fort Assiniboine, Barrhead, Onoway or Sangudo and are looking for employment or require assistance looking for a job, The Employment Place! can help you.
Located in Barrhead at 4923 - 50 Ave. (The Business & Education Link)
Services that we have to offer include a local area job board, internet access for job search, local newpaper job ads, computer access to do your resume and much more.
If you are apprenticing for a trade and need to be tested for the year, the office is a Certified Apprentiship and Industry Training Testing site.
If you need assistance with employment insurance, you can be assisted by an officer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Except every second Wednesday of the month)
There is also a resource center with various infomation on starting up a small business, government programs, training, post secondary information, and more. If you are looking to start up a business you have access to our Self Employment Officer as well.
If you are not able to travel to Barrhead, our Employment/Career Counsellor can meet with you in these communitites.
